Reflective mind map
Well I've pretty much caught up on the majority of the work, only my lickle story left now! Here's my mind map, maybe I'm not as technophobic as I thought, as I have figured it all out myself, and to be honest, it was surprisingly easy.
Anyway, I have completed this and really enjoyed mind mapping, I had to add some colour as I find it helps me understand things and learn easier.
Blog and Website: What's the difference?
I've looked at two different sites, one is a rugby blog and the other a website.
There is a vast difference between the two. As I'm not the most committed rugby fan, I found the blog a lot easier to read and take in. It talked about specific players and had images and videos to accompany the posts. It also has a guide section, this will take you to a page explaining each player position in a rugby team. This I found very easy to read and understand. It also has a little page giving you a link to the profile of the man who set it up, I find it gives it a bit more of a personal touch.
The website however, I found there to be a bit more information crammed into one space, its a lot more in depth and directed towards those who play the sport or die hard fans. I couldn't really glean much information off it before I got a bit bored!
If I was to create my own site containing information about rugby, it would have to be a blog, they have a more user friendly layout and less intense information. I'd cater it for women, like myself, so it would explain the basics, how the scoring system works, images and videos and links if they would like to read more in depth, maybe pictures of the players with their kits off, I'm sure that would get the girls interested!!!
Rugby!
Rugby! The only sport I can partially understand, I know when to cheer, I know when to shout....and that's about it! Safe to say, my interest in it, isn't the greatest. I will support my country but I can't really say I'm a follower!
I am going to have a look at a blog and a website centred around Rugby, and as a non-committed fan, see how appealing each one is, their strengths and drawbacks.
What is a Blog?
A blog, short for web log, is a virtual way of keeping an on-going diary. They are created as a means of sharing ideas and having discussions about a specific topic.
Videos and images can be posted, as well as links to websites with further information.
There are a lot of different types of blogs, all differ in layout and containing many varieties of information.
All blog posts are dated, so you are able to see if they are up to date. Their main focus is to enable the 'blogger' to put their view across on subjects and have feedback and discussions with others.

Blog post #1 In the beginning....
Well, I'm Toni, I'm creating this blog as an extra way to help my studies and broaden my perspectives on education, to help me in my future career! I'm studying Education Studies in Swansea and currently around half way through my first semester. Taking me a few years to decide what course I should study at uni, and last year I finally came to a career decision after a lot of researching and thinking.
So hopefully, one day I will be a primary school teacher, or possibly follow a different path in education, let's just see what happens a few years down the line!
