Blog and Website: What's the difference?

I've looked at two different sites, one is a rugby blog and the other a website. There is a vast difference between the two. As I'm not the most committed rugby fan, I found the blog a lot easier to read and take in. It talked about specific players and had images and videos to accompany the posts. It also has a guide section, this will take you to a page explaining each player position in a rugby team. This I found very easy to read and understand. It also has a little page giving you a link to the profile of the man who set it up, I find it gives it a bit more of a personal touch. The website however, I found there to be a bit more information crammed into one space, its a lot more in depth and directed towards those who play the sport or die hard fans. I couldn't really glean much information off it before I got a bit bored! If I was to create my own site containing information about rugby, it would have to be a blog, they have a more user friendly layout and less intense information. I'd cater it for women, like myself, so it would explain the basics, how the scoring system works, images and videos and links if they would like to read more in depth, maybe pictures of the players with their kits off, I'm sure that would get the girls interested!!!
